About This Call
The Plein Air Painters of New Mexico (PAPNM) 2017 9th National Juried Members Show is a juried exhibition of original plein air paintings hosted by Sorrel Sky Gallery in Santa Fe, NM. The exhibition runs November 3–26, 2017, with an opening reception and awards presentation on Friday, November 3, from 5pm–7:30pm.
Artist and Signature Members may submit up to 4 images for jurying at $25 for the initial image and $15 for each additional image. Signature Members will have at least one work accepted into the exhibition. All work must be original, at least 80% completed en plein air, painted within the last two years, and priced at a minimum of $500. Work must not have been previously shown in any PAPNM exhibition. Membership must be current and paid in full by the entry deadline of August 31, 2017. The jury notification will be sent by email on September 30, 2017.
Over $14,000 in awards and prizes are available, including $5,000 in cash awards. The Judge of Awards is nationally acclaimed artist Bob Rohm. Accepted work must be sturdily framed and ready to hang with D-rings and wire, or gallery-wrapped if appropriate. All accepted paintings must be available for hanging and sale in the exhibition.
