PAPNM 2016 8th National Juried Members Show

The Plein Air Painters of New Mexico (PAPNM) National Juried Members Show is a juried exhibition of original plein air paintings in its 8th year. The exhibition will be held at Sorrel Sky Gallery, 125 West Palace Avenue, Santa Fe, NM 87501, from November 4–27, 2016, with an opening reception and awards presentation on Friday, November 4 from 5–8 PM.

Artist and Signature Members may submit up to 4 images for jurying at $25 for the initial image and $15 for each additional image. Signature Members will have at least one work accepted into the exhibition. The entry deadline is September 7, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Jury notification will be sent by email on September 21, 2016. Over $14,000 in awards and prizes are available, including $5,000 in cash awards. The juror of awards is nationally acclaimed artist Jeff Legg, OPA Master Signature Member.

Eligibility is open to all members of Plein Air Painters of New Mexico working in two-dimensional media, excluding photography and digital art. Current 2016 membership is required. All work must be at least 80% completed en plein air within the past two years and must be original. Work must not have been previously shown in any PAPNM exhibition. The minimum retail price for any work is $700. All work must be for sale, with artists receiving 50% of the sale price. Accepted work must be sturdily framed and ready to hang with D-rings and wire, or gallery-wrapped if appropriate. No saw-tooth hangers are accepted.
