PAPNM 11th National Juried Member Exhibition

The 11th National Juried Members Exhibition is a juried show and sale of original two-dimensional en plein air artworks presented by the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico (PAPNM) and hosted by Santa Fe Art Collector in Santa Fe, New Mexico from Friday, October 4 through Sunday, October 27, 2019. Juried artists will compete for awards valued over $15,000 in cash and merchandise prizes. This call is only open to current or new paid PAPNM members. The public and collectors are invited to attend the opening reception on Friday, October 4, 5-7:30 PM at Santa Fe Art Collector, 217 Galisteo, Santa Fe, NM 87501.

Eligibility is open to all paid members of PAPNM working in two-dimensional media excluding photography and digital art. Accepted media includes oil (traditional and water-mixable), wet media (acrylic, watercolor, and gouache), and dry media (colored pastel and pencil). PAPNM artist members, signature members, and master signature members are eligible. All submitted work must be at least 80% completed en plein air on location within the past two years (works painted prior to September 1, 2017 are not eligible). Works must be original concept painted solely by the entering artist. Works shown in any previous PAPNM juried member exhibition are not eligible. Work done under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible.

Artists must submit 3-4 images of works online through CallForEntry. Entry fee is $55 for three entries; a fourth image entry costs an additional $15. Each artwork must be between 80 and 320 square inches unframed (8"x10" to 16"x20"). A maximum of 3 artworks may be selected for exhibition from each artist. Jury notification will be emailed on September 6, 2019. All artwork must be sturdily framed or gallery wrapped and ready to hang with D-rings and wire. Minimum price point required by the gallery is $375 for all hung work. All artwork must be for sale; Santa Fe Art Collector handles sales and artists receive 50% of the sales price. Payment to artists occurs within 30 days of the close of the exhibit. Work will be insured by the gallery while at Santa Fe Art Collector. Artists are responsible for insuring their work during transit.
