PAPNM 10th National Juried Member Exhibition

The 10th National Juried Members Exhibition is a juried show and sale of original two-dimensional plein air artworks presented by the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico (PAPNM) and hosted by Sorrel Sky Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico from November 2-25, 2018. Juried artists will compete for awards valued over $15,000 in cash and merchandise prizes. The exhibition is open only to current or new paid PAPNM members. Eligibility is limited to PAPNM members working in two-dimensional media, excluding photography, digital art, and multimedia. Accepted media includes oil (traditional and water-mixable), wet media (acrylic, watercolor, gouache), and dry media (pastel, pencil, charcoal on paper). Only original plein air artworks are eligible; all work must be at least 80% completed en plein air and produced within the last two years (2017-2018). Works must be within size specifications: minimum 108 square inches unframed (9"x12"), maximum 320 square inches unframed (16"x20"). Artwork must be available for sale with a minimum retail price of $500.

Entry fees are $55 for 1-3 images and $15 for a 4th image. Artists may submit 1-4 images with a maximum of 3 artworks selected for exhibition. PAPNM Signature Members are guaranteed at least one piece accepted. The entry deadline is August 31, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of jury selection will be sent by email on September 30. Ray Roberts, Signature Member of Plein Air Painters of America, is the 2018 Judge of Awards. Sorrel Sky Gallery will handle all sales and send payment to artists for artwork sold at 50% of the sale price within 30 days of the close of the exhibition.
