Paper

This exhibition will showcase artwork created in the medium of paper, celebrating the varied, expressive, and exciting ways artists use this material today. Cut, folded, cast, woven, burned, collaged, carved, and pulp-painted are some of the techniques artists employ to express their creative ideas. Works made in the medium of paper, either 2-D or 3-D, will be accepted for consideration. Works must be no larger than 48" in width, with no limit on the height of 2-D artwork.

The show is open to artists 18 and older who reside in the United States and will run from February 12 to March 20, 2026, at the Kavanagh Gallery of Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles, Illinois. The Fine Line Creative Arts Center is located in the Fox River Valley, approximately one hour west of Chicago. All work entered must be for sale, and the gallery will charge a 30% sales commission for any artwork sold during the show.

$800 in prizes will be awarded by a judge to be determined. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces, with images of the actual work to be exhibited. All artwork must be original and not shown at Fine Line in the last three years. Entry fee is $35, and the application deadline is December 28, 2025. Jury decisions will be sent via email on or before January 10, 2026.
