PANIC

PANIC is a juried online exhibition exploring how artists express feelings and narratives of alarm and anxiety in their work. The exhibition invites artists to share what panic means to them, considering how existential threats, uncertainty, and being pushed beyond one's depth can motivate new creative action and possibilities.

The exhibition is open to all visual mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture, installations, textiles, and photography. Film, audio, and video are not accepted. Artists may submit up to 3 individual pieces of artwork for consideration. There are no size restrictions, and artwork may be offered for sale or not for sale. The juror is Chester Arnold, a San Francisco Bay Area oil painter whose works explore contemporary landscapes.

Entry fee is $40 ($30 for O'Hanlon Center members with coupon code). Artists must be age 16 and over. Works previously shown at O'Hanlon Gallery in house or online are not eligible. Submission deadline is October 30, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Selected artists will be notified by email on November 6, with an online Artist Roundtable discussion scheduled for November 17 at 4 p.m. The exhibition will be displayed on the O'Hanlon Center for the Arts website beginning November 16. Artists agree that OHCA may use photographic images and/or video of the artist and their artwork in various forms including print, online, and social media. For artwork sales within the first 60 days of exhibition, artists agree to donate 30% of the sale price to OHCA.
