Palisade Art Vision, PAV 6th Annual Public Sculpture Exhibit

Palisade Art Vision, PAV was formed in 2015 to promote "Art as a part of everyday life" through an outdoor sculpture program. With collaboration from the Town of Palisade Government, Palisade Chamber of Commerce, local businesses, art galleries and artists, PAV has grown from four temporary pieces to over a dozen sculptures, with five purchased or sold from previous exhibits.

This is a regional call for sculptors from Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Arizona. Sculptures must be exhibited for approximately one year and ready for installation by September 10, 2021. Both representational and non-representational work are welcomed. Sculptures should be 12 inches to 7 feet tall, interesting from multiple angles, made of materials appropriate for outdoor Colorado weather, ADA and touch friendly, and demonstrate quality craftsmanship. Previous public art experience is not required.

Each artist receives a stipend of $750 for sidewalk or 24" diameter pedestal pieces, or $250 for small 12" pedestal pieces. Out-of-town sculptors receive two nights complimentary lodging and a Palisade Hospitality Package. PAV handles all sales and retains a 25% commission for any sculpture purchase during or as a direct result of the exhibit. Artists must be present during installation on September 9th-10th, 2021, with an unveiling on September 11th. Pedestal pieces require a metal plate for welding; sidewalk pieces require brackets for bolting to cement. Submit up to two pieces with 2-3 images per sculpture by July 12, 2021 through CaFE or email [email protected]. Jurying occurs July 13-28, with notifications sent July 29.
