Palisade Art Vision 5th Annual Public Sculpture Exhibit

Palisade Art Vision (PAV) was formed in 2015 to promote "Art as a part of everyday life" through an outdoor sculpture program. This 5th annual exhibit seeks sculptors from Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Arizona. Sculptures must be exhibited for approximately one year and be ready for installation by September 25, 2020. Both representational and non-representational work are welcomed. Sculptures should be 18 inches to 7 feet tall, interesting from multiple angles, and made of materials appropriate for outdoor public locations in Colorado weather. Pieces must be ADA and touch friendly, demonstrating quality craftsmanship. Previous public art experience is not required.

Each selected artist will receive a $750 stipend and two nights complimentary lodging for out-of-town sculptors. PAV will handle all sales and retain a 25% commission for any sculpture purchase during or as a direct result of the exhibit. Artists are expected to be present during installation on September 25-26, 2020. Pedestal pieces must have a metal plate for welding; sidewalk pieces must have brackets for bolting to cement. Installation and unveiling occur September 26, with an art opening at Craig Gallery at 7PM.

Applicants may submit up to two pieces with 2-4 images per sculpture through CaFE or by email request. The submission deadline is July 12, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Jurying occurs July 13-28, with notifications sent July 29. Contact [email protected] for questions or additional information.
