PAL / PenMet Parks Art in the Park

Peninsula Art League (PAL) and Peninsula Metropolitan Park District (PenMet Parks) are seeking artwork for public display at PenMet Parks' new Administrative Headquarters located at 2416 14th Ave NW, Gig Harbor, WA. The venue is a new building with large open wall spaces and windows opening to the adjacent Recreation Center and event lawn. The space hosts public board meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, monthly meetings for public service groups, and will serve as a hub of activity for visitors to the new 58,000 SF Recreation Center.

Artists must submit up to three original works completed within the last three years by August 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT online at CaFé (artist.callforentry.org). There is no entry fee. A juror will select artwork from online submissions between August 31 and September 8, 2024, followed by PenMet Parks Commissioners review from September 9-13, 2024. Selected artists will be notified by September 16, 2024. The exhibition runs from September 23, 2024 to January 30, 2025.

Eligibility: Artists must be 18 years or older. All entries must be original works entirely created by the artist and not prints or copies of work by other artists. All artwork must be for sale, with sales handled directly by the artist. PAL and PenMet Parks charge no commission on sales. Hand delivery of artwork to the venue is required by September 23, 2024 between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. All artwork must be picked up by January 31, 2025; artwork not collected by February 9, 2025 will be disposed of by PenMet Parks.
