Painting 2011-2021

Painting 2011-2021 is an online juried exhibition presented by Site:Brooklyn Gallery, running September 15–October 13, 2021. Without the dominance of either figuration or abstraction, painting's last two decades have become less bound to a rigid "movement" and more open to various and often combined approaches. The exhibition aims to present this new breadth and depth of contemporary painting, seeking works across all styles, genres and methods.

This exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older working in all media. Only original works may be submitted. The entry fee is $25.00 for up to three images, with $10 for each additional image. Work sample requirements: 3-10 total samples maximum, with up to 10 images and up to 3 videos. The final submission deadline is August 15, 2021 at 11:59 PM MT. All entry fees are non-refundable. Accepted artists will be notified on August 23, 2021 and will be required to upload high-resolution photo files of their work.

All artwork must be priced for sale and cannot be withdrawn before the end of the exhibit. Artists will retain a 60% commission on all exhibition sales. The juror is Peter Frank, associate editor for Fabrik Magazine and former Senior Curator at the Riverside Art Museum. For questions, contact [email protected].
