Paint What You Love

The Rhode Island Watercolor Society invites artists residing in New England to submit work for this juried exhibition. All 2D media are accepted, including watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oils, ink, casein, egg tempera, and other traditional watermedia materials. Photography, 3D media, and reproductions are not acceptable.

Eligibility requirements: Work must not have been exhibited in a previous Rhode Island Watercolor Society juried show. Work must have been completed within the last 10 years and may not be copied from copyrighted material or partially or wholly painted by another artist. Work may have been done in a class or workshop using only reference material belonging to the sole artist. Pieces should not exceed 42 inches on the longest side (not including frame). Work may be listed as NFS (not for sale).

Submission fee is $20 for non-members and $15 for members per piece entered. Submit 1-3 digital images. The exhibition will take place both online and physically in the gallery from October 24 - November 20. Work must be presented professionally in frames under glass or Plexiglass (Plexiglass required for pieces over 22"x28"), with white or off-white mats preferred. If work is sold, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society receives 35% of the sale. No accepted entry may be withdrawn prior to the close of the exhibition.
