Paint Texas 2026

Live Oak Art Center invites artists to participate in Paint Texas 2026, an exhibition held at Live Oak Art Center in Columbus, Texas. The submission deadline is Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Jury deliberation and notification will occur on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 via email.

The event includes an orientation on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 6:00 p.m., followed by the exhibition from Wednesday, March 18 through Friday, April 30, 2026. Lunch and beverages will be provided daily to artists during the event. The exhibition features both wet gallery and original works by all participating artists.

Artwork must be for sale at prices determined by the artist, with few exceptions. Artists must provide an artist statement or biography and a digital inventory in Excel, Google Sheets, or comparable format upon delivery, including digital photographs, inventory numbers, titles, mediums, dimensions, and prices for each piece. Live Oak Art Center will handle all sales and sales tax (8.25%). Artists receive 60% of sales receipts net of sales tax. A 40% commission applies to all artwork sales, with the exception of First Place Winners in each category, who receive a 50% commission if their painting sells during the exhibit. Artists are responsible for insurance on all artwork. Artwork must be picked up within 14 days of exhibit end; artwork not picked up within 30 days becomes the property of Live Oak Art Center.
