About This Call

Ox-Bow School of Art & Artists' Residency offers 12 artists the time, space, and community to encourage growth and experimentation in their practice for a three-week summer residency on the Saugatuck campus. The program is held while core courses and community programs are in session, with 3-4 residents on campus at a time having access to a community of students, faculty, and visiting artists.

The Summer Residencies are open to artists at any level, including currently enrolled students, MFA candidates, arts faculty, emerging, or established artists. A small number of residencies may be awarded to artists, writers, and cultural workers through nomination. Accommodations include single rooms with shared bathrooms and three buffet-style meals per day. Studio spaces are independent and simple; specialty studios are not available during this residency.

2026 dates: May 31–June 20, June 21–July 11, and July 13–August 1. Application deadline: March 8, 2026, 11:59 p.m. Founded in 1910, Ox-Bow is an independent 501(c)(3) arts organization providing year-round education and residency opportunities through in-person and online courses, workshops, publications, and artist talks.
