Own an Original Arts Exhibition

The City of Littleton Fine Arts Board presents the 51st Annual Own an Original Arts Exhibition, open to Colorado residents. This competition awards over $1,800 in cash prizes, with Best of Show receiving $1,000 and a one-person exhibition the following year. First Place: $500, Second Place: $250, Third Place: $100.

Eligibility and Requirements: Open to any medium except photography. All work must be original, produced in the last three years, and not shown in a Denver area juried show in the last two years. Entrants must be able to hand deliver artwork in person to the Littleton Museum (6028 S. Gallup Street, Littleton, Colorado 80120). Artwork cannot be shipped. Entry fee is $30 (non-refundable). Entrants may submit up to three works of art, with one image of each work allowed. All entries must be available for sale. The Fine Arts Board will charge a 25% commission on the sale price of any artwork sold during the exhibit. Artwork shall not exceed five feet on any one measurement. Artwork that is to be hung must be ready to hang with strong wire or proper hanging material (no saw tooth hangers). No bin work will be accepted.

Deadlines and Schedule: Submission deadline is Friday, October 14, 2016 at midnight mountain time through CaFE. Acceptance and rejection notifications will be sent by mail or email on or around October 21, 2016. If accepted, artwork must be delivered to Littleton Museum on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 between 3pm and 7pm. The exhibition runs November 18, 2016 – January 8, 2017 in the Littleton Museum Fine Arts Gallery. Unsold artwork must be picked up on Monday, January 9, 2017 between 3pm and 7pm. Artwork not picked up at the specified time will become the property of the City of Littleton. This year's juror is Sandra Clark.
