Own an Original Arts Exhibition

The City of Littleton Fine Arts Board presents the 52nd Annual Own an Original Arts Exhibition, open to Colorado residents. This competition awards over $1,800 in cash prizes, with Best of Show receiving $1,000 and a one-person exhibition the following year. First Place: $500, Second Place: $250, Third Place: $100.

Artwork must be original, produced in the last three years, and not shown in a Denver area juried show in the last two years. The competition is open to any medium except photography. Entrants may submit up to three works of art. Entry fee is $30 (non-refundable). All entries must be available for sale. The Fine Arts Board will charge a 25% commission on the sale price of any artwork sold during the exhibit. Artwork cannot be shipped; Colorado residents must be able to hand deliver their art to the Littleton Museum located at 6028 S. Gallup Street, Littleton, Colorado 80120. Artwork must not exceed five feet on any one measurement. Hung work must be ready to hang with strong wire or proper hanging material (no saw tooth hangers). No bin work will be accepted.

Submissions open Monday, September 18, 2017 and close Friday, October 20, 2017 at midnight mountain time. Entries must be submitted through callforentry.org. Acceptance and rejection notifications will be sent by mail or email on or around October 27, 2017. If accepted, artwork must be delivered to Littleton Museum on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 between 3pm and 7pm. The exhibition runs November 17, 2017 – January 7, 2018. Award winners will be notified by phone or email on or around November 15, 2017. Unsold artwork must be picked up on Monday, January 8, 2018 between 3pm and 7pm; artwork not picked up at the specified time will be forfeited and become the property of the City of Littleton.
