Own an Original Arts Exhibition

The City of Littleton Fine Arts Board presents the 50th Annual Own an Original Arts Exhibition, awarding over $1,800 in cash prizes. This competition is open to Colorado residents who are able to hand deliver their artwork in person. Artwork cannot be shipped. The competition is open to any medium except photography. The best of show winner will receive a one-person exhibition the following year. This year's juror is Reven Marie Swanson.

All work must be original, produced in the last three years, and not shown in a Denver area juried show in the last two years. Entry fee is $30 (non-refundable). Entrants may submit up to three works of art, with one image per work. Artwork must be available for sale. The Fine Arts Board will charge a 25% commission on the sale price of any artwork sold during the exhibit. All accepted entries must have name, contact information, title, and selling price attached to the artwork. Artwork to be hung must be ready to hang with strong wire or proper hanging material (no saw tooth hangers). No bin work will be accepted.

If accepted, artwork must be delivered to Littleton Museum, 6028 S. Gallup Street, Littleton, Colorado 80120 on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 between 3pm and 7pm. The exhibition will be on display November 20, 2015 – January 10, 2016. Acceptance and rejection notifications will be sent by mail or email on or around October 30, 2015. The opening reception is Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 5:30pm to 7pm. Award winners will be introduced at the opening reception. Awards: Best of Show $1,000, First Place $500, Second Place $250, Third Place $100. Unsold artwork must be picked up on Monday, January 11, 2016 between 3pm and 7pm. Artwork not picked up at the specified time will become the property of the City of Littleton.
