Own an Original 2022: Labyrinth

The City of Littleton Fine Arts Board presents the 57th Annual Own an Original Arts Exhibition, awarding over $1,800 in cash prizes. This competition is open to Colorado residents who are able to hand deliver their artwork in person to the Littleton Museum. Artwork cannot be shipped. The competition is open to any medium except photography, video, or audio. Entrants may submit up to three works of art for consideration. Entry fee is $30 (non-refundable). All work must be original, produced in the last three years, and not shown in a Denver area juried show in the last two years. Artwork shall not exceed 60 inches on any one measurement. Artwork that is to be hung must be ready to hang with strong wire or proper hanging material (no saw tooth hangers). The use of organic matter is discouraged and subject to approval by Littleton Museum staff.

This year's theme is Labyrinth. Entrants should include a short statement on how their work relates to the theme in the submission description field. The juror is NINE dot ARTS Chief Curator, Molly Casey. Award winners will be notified by phone or email on or around Wednesday, November 2, 2022. If accepted, artwork must be delivered in person to Littleton Museum on Monday, October 24, 2022 between 3pm and 7pm. Accepted artwork will be on display in the Littleton Museum Fine Arts Gallery from Friday, November 4 through Friday, December 31, 2022. Following the exhibit, artwork must be picked up on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 between 9am and 3pm. Artwork not picked up at the specified time will be forfeited and become the property of the City of Littleton.
