The history of Folk art in the Ozarks is vast, and seemingly endless. We each harness the ability to carry on these stories and traditions through a unique personal lens. We can be deeply intertwined with these roots, or perhaps it’s a connection we yearn for. To create new from what we already know, picking fragments and pieces of what resonates in order to understand our own place in tradition. How can we allow our roots to keep us grounded and expansive? In addition to accepting visual art forms, we are calling on poets to submit work(s) that resonates with this brief. Poems must be displayed on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.
