About This Call
This outdoor sculpture exhibition at IU Kokomo is open to regional artists. The submission deadline is May 15, 2016, with jury selections to be announced by June 1, 2016. Selected sculptures must be delivered between June 15-30, 2016, with installation scheduled for July 1-10, 2016. The exhibition will run from July 2016 through August 2018, with sculptures to be removed within one month of the exhibit's closing.
Artists may submit up to two sculptures for consideration. Each submission must include a bio/resume, three images (front, back, and detail), dimensions (HxWxD), and stated insurance value. Artwork must be ready to set on 8' x 8' cement pads using welded tabs or similar easy-install methods. Sculptures must be constructed of durable materials to withstand year-round Indiana weather. Fragile or dangerous works will not be accepted. Artists must own the rights to the artwork and make it available for the full two-year exhibition period.
Selected artists are responsible for transportation to and from the installation site. The artwork must be delivered exhibition-ready. The university will supervise installation and provide insurance coverage for the duration of the exhibit. A contract will be sent upon acceptance. For questions, contact [email protected].
