Outdoor Furniture Commission at East Quay

East Quay is inviting proposals from architects, craftspeople, artists and designers to create a new piece of outdoor furniture for their building in Watchet, West Somerset. The furniture will be installed on the terrace outside one of their bespoke accommodation Pods, offering a place for guests and members of the public to sit and soak up the coastal atmosphere.

This commission is for the space outside Pod 3, their 'Romantic Industrial' pod, which is situated on a platform above the second floor of East Quay. Each of the five accommodation Pods has its own concept and story, reflecting the town, its culture, heritage, and future. The commission offers a £3,000 fee for project delivery and a £300 stipend for travel expenses. The submission deadline is January 30, 2026. This opportunity is open to international applicants.
