Out of Round

OUT OF ROUND is a national juried exhibition of ceramic work celebrating the 10 year anniversary for the Arvada Ceramic Arts Guild (ACAG). The exhibition is open to any ceramic work regardless of shape or construction method, whether work starts out round, is altered round forms, or consists of boxes, tree trunks, figures, or anything else made from clay.

The exhibition will be juried by Marie EvB Gibbons and Bob Smith, both Colorado artists. Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, and People's Choice. The Best of Show and People's Choice Awards include solo shows at dates mutually agreeable between the artists and ACAG. Exhibition dates are June 26, 2015 (Opening Reception) through July 26, 2015 (Closing Reception).

Entry fee is $30.00 for submission of up to 3 pieces. Work must be largely ceramic with size not exceeding 20" on any one side. Work can be functional or sculptural and must be suitable for pedestal display or wall mounting. Submit 1-3 images per piece (JPEG format, minimum 1920 pixels on longest side, 300 dpi, 5 MB maximum). One image per piece can be a detail shot. Artists will be notified by email on or before May 29, 2015 of the jurors' selection. Accepted work must be received by June 13, 2015. Artists are responsible for shipping work to and from the gallery and must provide return shipping labels. Hand delivery to the gallery is also accepted by June 13, 2015. An Artist's Statement is required. All work must be available for sale with a 60% artist commission. ACAG is responsible for safekeeping of work while in its custody up to the full amount the artist would have received if the work had been sold, except ACAG is not responsible for damage incurred during shipping.
