Our National Parks: Juried Photography Exhibition

Crooked Tree Arts Center invites photographers to submit work celebrating the National Park Service centennial and in anticipation of the Ansel Adams: Masterworks exhibit (Summer 2017). Submissions should feature photographs from National Park System sites, with three NPS locations in Michigan: Isle Royale, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Pictured Rocks. Contact the galleries director if you have a photograph from an NPS site not listed.

Eligibility: Open to Michigan residents and/or members of Crooked Tree Arts Center, 18 years or older. Photographers may submit up to three entries using any photographic techniques and processes. Works must be created by the submitting photographer and must not have been previously exhibited at Crooked Tree Arts Center. Entry fee is $40.00 per artist ($20.00 for CTAC members with coupon code MEM2016). Online entries accepted September 1, 2016 through April 3, 2017. Notification will be sent April 13, 2017.

Accepted photographs must be framed in black (unless printed on metal) and ready to hang. Delivery required between May 11-16, 2017 (closed Sundays). The exhibition runs through September 7, 2017. Pickup available September 8-13, 2017 (closed Sundays). All accepted works must be for sale. Crooked Tree Arts Center retains a 40% commission on sales; photographers receive 60% of the retail price. Works will be insured while on the Arts Center premises. Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup. Shipped work requires secure packing and pre-paid return shipping label, with a $25 handling fee per artist. Jurors: Howard Bond and Michael Robinson.
