OTR Swing Team Driver (NATIONAL), Art Services

Minnesota Street Project Art Services, founded and headquartered in San Francisco since 2016, is seeking an OTR Swing Team Driver with specialization in fine art handling and transportation. The position is full-time, non-exempt, hourly, with compensation ranging from $30.00–$35.00 per hour and an average of 120–160 hours per month on a schedule of 3 weeks on, 1 week off. The company is open to hires outside of the Bay Area, including Los Angeles/Southern California.

The OTR Swing Team Driver will support driving company vehicles to transport artworks via the fleet for national shuttle transit from San Francisco. Essential responsibilities include operating up to a class 6 box truck in a team driving environment, proper handling and packing of art objects using standard methods, proficiency with electronic inventory systems and barcode scanners, communication with dispatch and project managers, preparation of paperwork including bills of lading and driver logs, condition checks and reports, truck inspections, and assistance with warehouse operations. The position offers opportunities on 3-week shuttle routes from San Francisco to New York and back on alternating routes as needed, with warehouse load and unload shifts on both ends. Routes start and end in San Francisco, with occasional night and weekend shifts.

Required qualifications include an active and clean class C license, clean driving record, ability to work collaboratively and independently, professional commitment and adaptability, outstanding time management, experience handling 2D and 3D artworks, excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to comply with DOT regulations, capacity to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart and 50 pounds without mechanical aid, ability to carry 40 pounds up to 90 feet, ability to pass a post-employment background check and MVR, and ability to travel 18-20 consecutive days. Preferred qualifications include ability to safely operate a forklift and familiarity with warehouse equipment. Proficiency with iPad and PC tablets and comfort using computer databases are required.
