About This Call
Hosted bi-annually at Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi, the Oso Bay Biennial XIX International Juried Show brings together the best and brightest in visual communication. In its 19th year, the juried exhibition features categories in graphic design, typography, printmaking, branding and collateral design, interactive design, motion graphics, illustration, photography, advertising design, publication design, and design for public service.
Professional and student categories are available for entry. The $1,000 best in show prize is awarded for outstanding professional work overall, and the $500 best in show prize is awarded for outstanding student work overall. Artist and designer James Victore serves as the guest juror. Victore is an American art director, designer, and author whose monograph "Victore or, Who Died and Made You Boss?" was published by Abrams Books in 2010. His work has been exhibited in The Museum of Modern Art in 2010 and 2012.
Entry fee is $35.00, with a $20.00 media fee for each additional entry. Work samples may include up to 14 images, 3 audio files, and 3 video files, with a minimum of 3 total samples and maximum of 20 total samples. Winners will be notified by March 10, 2016. Exhibition dates are March 29-April 30, 2016 at Weil Gallery, Corpus Christi, Texas.
