ORIGINAL PRINTS: A National Printmaking Showcase

PrintAustin, in collaboration with the Art Center of Corpus Christi, announces an open call for ORIGINAL PRINTS: A National Printmaking Showcase. This exhibition will be juried by Rigoberto Luna, independent curator and founder/director of Presa House Gallery. The exhibition features traditional printmaking techniques and innovative approaches in contemporary printmaking, including lithography, relief, intaglio, silkscreen, photopolymer plate (SolarPlates), and monotype. Solely digital and photographic prints are not eligible.

Eligibility is open to local, national, and international artists 18 years or older. Any 2-D or 3-D work including ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, and artist books that uses printmaking as the sole or primary technique are eligible. Unless an installation, work cannot exceed 72 inches (183 cm) in any direction. Entry fee is $35 for non-members ($20 for PrintAustin members) and includes 3 submissions; each additional submission costs $10. Submissions must include 3-6 images (JPEG format at maximum quality) and may include up to 3 video files (MP4). Entry deadline is May 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Email notifications will be sent by July 1, 2025. Artwork is due July 20, 2025.

The exhibition runs August 1-30, 2025 at the Art Center of Corpus Christi. Selected artists receive a shipping stipend (minimum $50, exact amount TBD) and must include prepaid return shipping labels. PrintAustin will insure all works while in the gallery. Artists receive 70% commission on sales, with PrintAustin retaining 30%. All work must be professionally matted/framed and installation ready, with white or off-white mats and plexiglass only.
