About This Call
The Oregon Country Fair is an annual 3-day festival held in Veneta, Oregon, about 15 miles west of Eugene. The Fair offers entertainment, hand-made crafts, food, and information sharing in a wooded setting. The organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization founded in 1969.
Craft applications are accepted from individual artists only. Applicants must submit separate applications for each craft using substantially different techniques or materials, with a $5 discount for each application after the first. All items offered for sale must be hand-crafted, hand-gathered, or significantly altered in a hand-crafted fashion by the individual artist. Applicants must be active in their craft and have produced a substantial portion of what they will sell within the last 12 months. Manufactured items, imports, and mass-produced products are prohibited.
Applications require a description of techniques and materials, three sample images, and are evaluated by a jury of six professional artists or crafters. Scoring is on a scale of 1 to 10 per juror, with a maximum possible score of 60. Approved crafters must be present in their booth all three days of the Fair. Herbal tinctures and herbal extracts are the only ingestible items allowed for sale in craft booths and must comply with all applicable state and federal laws. All application fees are non-refundable.
