Oregon Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship FY 2012

The Oregon Arts Commission's Individual Artist Fellowship Program honors Oregon's professional artists and their artistic achievements and supports their efforts to advance their careers. The Commission looks to Oregon artists of outstanding talent, demonstrated ability and commitment to the creation of new work(s). FY 2012 Fellowship awards are made to artists demonstrating excellence in Visual Arts (crafts, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media and new media) and Design Arts.

Fellowships are non-matching awards of $3,000. There is no pre-determined number of Fellowships to be awarded in each discipline. The Commission and its review panels may determine that no Fellowships be awarded. Fellowships are awarded on the basis of aesthetic quality of the applicant's submitted artwork, artist's sustained professional achievement, and the potential for the artist's future contribution to the field.

Applicants must submit exactly 10 images of past work (up to 3 may be moving image files in formats: 3GP, WMV, AVI, MOV, ASF, MPG, MP4, M2T, MKV, M2TS). Still images must be formatted as 1920 x 1920 pixels and less than 1.8 MB. Applicants must also submit an artist statement (2,000 characters or less) and a résumé limited to 3 pages. All materials must be submitted through CaFE (www.callforentry.org). The deadline for submissions is 11:59 PM Mountain Standard Time (10:59 PM Pacific Standard Time) on October 17, 2011.
