Oregon Artist Showcase

The Chehalem Cultural Center's Parrish Gallery presents the third annual Oregon Artist Showcase, featuring contemporary art in Oregon. The Chehalem Cultural Center is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to inspiring and enriching lives by connecting community and culture.

Eligibility: Oregon residents at least 18 years of age. Eligible artwork includes paintings, photographs, prints, drawings, mixed media, sculptures, and ceramics. Maximum size is 5 cubic feet and weighing no more than 100 lbs. All artwork must arrive ready to hang with adequate wiring. No clasp or tool clips are accepted. Entry fee is $25. Limit three images per artist. If selected for the exhibition, you must provide additional images of the accepted artwork at 300 dpi, suitable for printing. CCC retains the right to use these images in any promotional materials related to the exhibit or the Center.

Important dates: Entry deadline is December 13, 2013 at 10:59 PM PST. Winners announced December 20, 2013. Artwork delivery deadline is January 4, 2014 by 6:00 PM. Exhibition opens January 10, 2014 and closes February 13, 2014. First Friday Artwalk and Artists' Reception on February 7, 2014. Closing Artists' Reception and Awards on February 13, 2014. Awards: Best of Show $200, People's Choice $150, Honorable Mention $100 (2D & 3D). The juror is Portland-based curator Elizabeth Spavento. Artists receive 60% of sales price and the Chehalem Cultural Center retains 40%. Artists who sell work will receive payment within 30 days of the closing date.
