Opposites

AAWS Members are invited to submit 2 pieces that are the opposite of each other for this exhibition. The entry fee is $20 per artist, and the first 25 artists to submit will be accepted.

All work must be original art completed within the past three years and cannot have been previously displayed in Wachovia Gallery exhibits unless it reflects the theme "Opposites." All types of 2D fine art media are accepted, including hand-pulled prints, original digital prints, and photographs. 3D work may be considered if it can be hung securely on the wall and is subject to approval. Mass-produced printed reproductions will not be exhibited. This is a family venue; no nudes or offensive subjects are permitted.

Work specifications: No piece may exceed 50 inches horizontally or 48 inches vertically, including frame, or weigh more than 35 pounds. All 2D works must be framed professionally with wire attachment and ready to hang (no "alligator" hangers). Canvases must be framed or gallery wrapped with no visible staples or unpainted canvas. Canvases with wet paint will not be accepted. Works on paper should be protected by glass or Plexiglas. Improperly presented work will not be accepted.

Submissions must include high-quality JPEG images at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should be cropped to show only the artwork with no visible matting, frames, or background, properly oriented, and submitted with minimal reflection if the work is behind glass.
