Open Theme Exhibition

The Lab on Santa Fe invites artists of all mediums and styles to submit work for an open theme exhibition spanning two First Fridays, January 2–February 7, 2026. The gallery welcomes painters, illustrators, printmakers, sculptors, video artists, installation artists, collage/assemblage artists, textile/fiber artists, ceramists/potters, photographers, and all other mediums. Artists are encouraged to explore any subject matter—nature, humanity, politics, chaos, transcendence—and to demonstrate rigor, risk, intensity, and openness to their creative process.

The Lab on Santa Fe is located in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe, at the center of the city's most visited art scene. The gallery sits in the middle block of the three-block stretch that hosts Denver's First Friday Art Walk, which draws the largest crowds in the state.

Entry fee is $34.00. Submissions must include 1–2 images and optionally 1 video. All art submitted must be for sale, and measurements provided in applications must be accurate. Art may be turned away at drop-off for improper wiring. Entry deadline is October 8, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
