Open Theme Annual 2025

Webster Arts invites art submissions for the Open Theme Annual 2025, a national juried exhibition open to all artists aged 18 or older residing in the US. Artists are encouraged to submit 2D and 3D work on any theme. The exhibition is open to all media except video, with the following specifications: framed wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 48" x 48"; all wall works on paper must be framed; three-dimensional works must not exceed 32" x 32" x 60" or weigh more than 50 pounds; no ceiling-hung or floor-hung installations are permitted; and unassembled work must come with detailed assembly instructions. All work must be the original conception and execution of the artist and cannot have been previously exhibited at Webster Arts gallery.

Submit up to 10 JPEG digital images (1000-1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 PPI, 5 MB maximum). The entry fee is $25 for up to three entries, plus a $5 media fee. The submission deadline is June 5, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Accepted artwork must be delivered in-person July 1-3, 2025 during office hours (10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or shipped to Webster Arts by July 3, 2025. The exhibition runs July 11-August 15, 2025, with an opening reception on July 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Webster Arts Gallery, 2 Summit Avenue, Webster Groves, MO 63119.

An independent juror will select work for inclusion and award cash prizes: $250 Best in Show and one $100 Award of Excellence. Sales are encouraged, and Webster Arts receives a 30% commission on all sales. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the gallery. All artwork is insured for its declared value from receipt through pickup by the carrier; artists are responsible for insuring artwork during transit.
