Open Theme Annual 2020

Webster Arts invites art submissions for the Open Theme Annual 2020, a national juried exhibition open to all artists aged 18 or older residing in the US or abroad. Artists are encouraged to submit 2D and 3D work on any theme. The exhibition will be held January 21 – February 28, 2020, with an opening reception on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, from 6-8 p.m.

Submission deadline is December 9, 2019. Entry fee is $35 for up to three entries. Submit up to three JPEG digital images (1000 to 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, 5 MB maximum file size). Wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 48" X 48" and weigh no more than 20 lbs. Free-standing pieces on pedestals may not exceed 32" X 32" X 60" or weigh more than 40 lbs. No floor or ceiling installed work or video. Work created under instruction is not eligible. Previously exhibited work at Webster Arts galleries is not eligible.

An independent juror will select work for inclusion in the exhibit and for cash prizes ($250 Best in Show, two $100 Awards of Excellence). Webster Arts receives a 30% commission on all exhibition sales. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and must include a pre-paid return shipping label. Artwork may also be hand-delivered during office hours January 6-9 and 13, 2020 (9 am - 4:30 pm), with a deadline of January 13, 2020 for shipped artwork. All artwork is insured for its declared value from receipt through pickup by the carrier. Artists are responsible for insuring artwork during transit.
