Open Studios Napa Valley 2017

Open Studios Napa Valley 2017 will be held the last two weekends of September 16-17 and September 23-24, with hours from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. All artists must be present at their studio from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on each day of the event.

Eligibility requirements include: current 2017 paid membership with Art Association Napa Valley (AANV), living or working within Napa County or partnering with a participating artist, creating all artwork yourself as original works, having a minimum of 10 pieces available for sale each day, possessing a valid municipal business license (if required in your area), holding a valid state resale license, and having a working email address. New applicants must be successfully juried into the event. Returning artists must have participated in at least one Open Studios event in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, or 2016.

Application fees are $295 for returning artists and $345 for new artists (includes $50 non-refundable jury fee). The entry deadline is March 24, 2017. New applicants must submit 5 images in RGB color and JPG format (including one catalog image at 300dpi and 7" on long side, not to exceed 5MB). Returning artists must submit 3 images in RGB color and JPG format. All participating artists must obtain appropriate business licensing and a California resale certificate, collect sales tax on all sales, obtain liability insurance for their location/studio, and volunteer to help support the program. The majority of work on display must be original; limited reproductions are permitted only if created from the artist's original design and produced under the artist's supervision. Each participating artist will receive 2 signs to use during the event.
