Open New York Figurative Exhibition

This exhibition is open to all mediums. Artists may submit up to three works for consideration. All works must be professionally framed or mounted with wire ready for hanging, except work mounted on aluminum which may be unframed with appropriate back mounting. Outside dimensions of frame may not exceed 60 inches. Sculptures should be no more than 48 inches high and no more than 55 pounds. Only artworks that have not been previously shown at Salmagundi may be submitted. All items must include a price or be marked NFS (not for sale). No price on request (POR) is permitted.

Accepted works will be placed by the Art Committee and must remain as placed through the end of the exhibition. Works must be removed immediately after the exhibition closes. Out-of-town works will be returned only at the artist's request and expense. All works not removed after 30 days will be stored at the artist's expense. Hand-delivered art must be unpacked entirely by the artist or agent on Friday or Saturday, August 24th or 25th, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Shipped works must be sent in reusable shipping boxes for art with the exhibition name on the outside. Artists who do not use reusable shipping boxes will incur a $35 unpacking/packing charge.

Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files at least 1900 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork itself without matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use the sRGB color profile. Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline of July 31, 2024. After submission and payment, you may log back in to review and edit your entry information and images until the deadline. Salmagundi members contribute 30% on sales; non-member artists contribute 40% on sales.
