About This Call

ALT/ART is a curatorial service that connects businesses with local artists. Through Alt/Art, accepted artists have the opportunity to show their work within Boulder/Denver businesses. Each business is provided a curated body of work uniquely selected according to their professional design aesthetic. In this partnership, businesses and artists alike benefit from a progressive platform providing community, connection, and exposure.

Accepted artists receive representation by The BCC for 4 or 6 month installations, gallery maintenance, sales and commissions, relationship growth with business owners and clients, cross-promotion of events while showcasing work, resume expansion and professional development, and Wall Talk—an event that provides space for the artist to share their process and body of work. Original artwork only is accepted in all mediums. Installation pieces must include a detailed description of any electrical, lighting, or space requirements.

Entry fee is $45.00. Work samples must total between 5 and 14 pieces, with a maximum of 10 images, 2 audio files, and 2 video files. In-person deliveries are arranged via email at 2500 47th Street Unit 10, Boulder, Colorado. Shipped deliveries must arrive at a designated UPS facility in Boulder with a prepaid return shipment label; a $15 handling fee applies per box. Accepted work must remain in The BCC Warehouse for the duration of the exhibit. For 2D artwork, hanging wire or cleat installation is preferred (no sawtooth hangers). Only Plexiglas framing is accepted for shipped 2D artwork. The BCC retains 30% of all sales and commissions for the duration of the contract agreement. The BCC reserves the right to use images of artworks for educational and promotional purposes.
