Open Call: Sound in Visions: Music is the Muse

Auditory and visual art have often had a symbiotic, intertwining relationship. Both use composition, rhythm, harmony, texture, and movement to communicate. Each distinct expression sparks creativity within the other—highlighting, contrasting, even blending into one another. This exhibition will feature artwork influenced by, depicting, or incorporating items associated with music or musicians.

Eligibility is open nationally to artists of all backgrounds and ages. All mediums are welcome, and all work submitted should be display ready. No giclée prints of original art or non-photographic art will be accepted, and no AI-generated work is permitted. Artists may submit up to three pieces of original artwork made within the last two years. Submissions must be accompanied by a brief artist statement (50-100 words) explaining the inspiration and significance of the artwork, and a short bio (100-150 words) highlighting background, artistic journey, and relevant experiences or achievements. Please note if artwork is interactive.

Submission deadline is Sunday, March 22, 2026. The submission fee is $35.00. Selected artists will be notified via email. Art delivery is Sunday, April 26, 12-5pm, or Monday, April 27, 11am-5pm. The exhibition runs Saturday, May 2, 2026 – Sunday, May 31, 2026, with an opening reception on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Artwork pickup is Monday, June 1st. All pieces in the exhibition must be for sale, with the artist receiving 50% of the sales price and ACCI Gallery taking a 50% commission. An ACCI consignment agreement is required for all exhibiting artists. Image files must be .jpg format, minimum 900 pixels on long edge, with quality images suitable for print highly preferred.
