About This Call
The California Museum of Art Thousand Oaks (CMATO) invites artists worldwide to submit work for the Open Call: POWER exhibition. The exhibition will feature three to five artists, with each artist displaying at least 3 works. Jurors include Art Department Chairs from California Lutheran University, California State Channel Islands, Moorpark College, and Ventura College. The exhibition will be presented at CMATO and online, with an accompanying catalogue featuring essays on the artists and their works.
Eligibility: Open to artists worldwide, 18 years old or older, in any stage of their career. All mediums are accepted, including video and installation. All entries must represent original works of art. Work sample requirements: 1-3 images, 0-2 audio files, 0-2 video files (3 samples maximum total). Entry fee: $45 USD (non-refundable). Awards: Featured Artist $1,000 USD; Contributing Artists $500 USD each.
Application deadline: May 1, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of acceptance: May 14, 2018. Exhibition dates: July 12 - September 7, 2018. Opening reception: July 12, 2018.
