About This Call

Englewood Arts is accepting applications for its artist residency program, now in its third year. The residency welcomes artists working in Glassblowing, Ceramics, Painting, Fibers, Murals, Woodworking, Sculptures, and Metals. Applications are also being considered from artists in Photography, Performance, and Writing.

As a resident artist at Englewood Arts, you will have access to semi-private studio space equipped with essential tools and private shelving, a stipend to support your creative work, paid teaching opportunities to share your skills with the community, and exhibition opportunities including an annual resident group exhibition. Limited shared living space is available for $500 per month. Residents are expected to engage in community events and contribute service hours to help enhance programs.

Applications must include: a written proposal of interest (500 words max, detailing studio practice, desired projects, and how you would utilize a year-long residency); resumé with short bio (500 words max); 10 digital images of your work (or 2-5 writing samples, max 5000 words); and two professional references with contact information. Applicants must not be currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program at the start of the residency. For Glassblowing and Ceramics, a degree from an accredited university or equivalent is required, with professional studio experience preferred. For Woodworking, Metals, Murals, Fiber, and Painting, artists must be able to work independently and in community settings with familiarity of common equipment. Artists with an MFA and Ceramics or Sculptural background are encouraged to apply, particularly those interested in teaching at the college level in collaboration with Metropolitan Community College. Entry fee: $20. Deadline: June 13, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
