Open Call for Exhibits (2026/2027)

The Firehouse Art Center is accepting applications for its 2026/2027 exhibition calendar. The center is Longmont's leading contemporary art center featuring national, regional, and local artists. The National Historic Landmark building features two exhibition spaces with over 1,000 square feet of space, free admission, and serves over 10,000 visitors annually. The center has been voted Best Art Gallery in East Boulder County for 10 consecutive years and Times Call Readers Choice for Best Art Gallery for 9 consecutive years.

The exhibitions committee consists of artists, art administrators, business professionals, curators, and art collectors. Preference is given to submissions that are culturally relevant with a unique perspective and ability to provide diverse art experiences. Cutting edge contemporary work and multi-disciplinary artists are strongly encouraged. Group exhibitions, curatorial proposals, and solo exhibition proposals from established and emerging artists in all mediums are welcomed.

Entry deadline is November 16, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $35.00. Applicants may submit up to 3 applications. Work samples must include a minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 total images, with the option to submit up to 3 audio files and up to 3 video files. All materials must be submitted online via the CaFÉ system. This opportunity is open to all artists in the continental United States.
