Open Call for Emerging Artists Stamford 2026

Art at Emerson Hall is a free, three-day public exhibition taking place October 16–18, 2026, in the historic Emerson Hall at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in downtown Stamford, CT. Made possible by a grant from the City of Stamford Arts & Culture Commission, the showcase will feature 8–10 emerging visual and multidisciplinary artists from our community, alongside an opening-night reception, artist talks, and family-friendly programming.

Who Should Apply
We're looking for emerging artists from the Greater Stamford Area, especially those with little to no prior exhibition experience, who are ready to share their work with their community. There's no theme; all we ask is that applicants meet the eligibility criteria below.

Eligibility:
- Based in the Greater Stamford Area
- 16 years of age or older (artists under 18 may apply with written parent/guardian permission)
- Working in painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, textiles, or jewelry

How to Apply
Applicants should complete the online application form, including:
- Contact and background information
- 3–5 portfolio images of the work they plan to submit
- An artist statement (1 page or less)
- Parent/guardian permission letter, if under 18
