Open call: CHEP artist roster for murals, glass + wall art | BC Children’s Hospital centre for health complexity

BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, working with Aartplace Art Consulting & Curation and HOST Consulting, is pleased to invite artists and artist teams from British Columbia and the Yukon to apply for the CHEP Mural + Window + Wall Art Roster at the BC Children’s Hospital centre for health complexity, located in what is known colonially as Vancouver, on the traditional, unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Through this open call, a selection panel will identify a curated roster of artists whose practices may be well suited to 11 integrated art opportunities comprising up to 50 commissions. Opportunities will include painted and digitally produced murals, glass and window applications, participatory or community-based works, and framed or wall-based artworks. Artists working across a range of media are encouraged to apply and will be supported by the art consultant throughout the process. Artists selected for the roster will be prequalified for consideration as specific opportunities move forward, supporting a streamlined and flexible commissioning process. While inclusion in the roster does not guarantee a commission, selected artists may be invited to one or more opportunities based on the alignment of their practice, experience, and interests with the project’s needs.
