Open Call 2026 | Greater Los Angeles

Dama Gallery, located in the heart of Ventura, California, is accepting submissions for their 2026 exhibition program. Since 2011, the gallery has emerged as a cornerstone of contemporary art and curatorial excellence, expanding to Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Austin while maintaining their Ventura location as a creative hub for mid-career, established, and emerging artists. Submissions are reviewed weekly with selections made throughout the month, and early consideration is strongly encouraged.

The 2026 program will feature both solo and group exhibitions with durations ranging from one to three months. Selected artists are invited to attend openings and may be considered for artist talks, panel discussions, or recorded interviews. Artists whose work is chosen may also be considered for ongoing representation, which includes portfolio consultation, marketing and promotional support, online exhibition presence, and priority consideration for future exhibitions. All artwork must be original, unsold, and ready to hang for 2D works.

The submission fee is $35 for the first 3 images, with additional images at $5 per image up to a maximum of 20. The gallery adheres to standard industry practice with a 50% commission on sales, and artworks are listed on platforms including Artsy for maximum exposure. Sales remittance is issued within 5-7 business days following exhibition close. Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media and new genres.
