Open Call 2025 | Dama Gallery, Greater Los Angeles

Dama Gallery, LLC is a contemporary art gallery located in Ventura, California, dedicated to mid-career and established artists. The gallery is situated in the Greater Los Angeles region, linking Malibu, Ojai, and the expansive Los Angeles area. Originally opening in 2011, Dama Gallery has expanded to include locations in Los Angeles (2019), Mexico City (2020), and Austin (2021).

This open call accepts paintings, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. Submissions should include 5-20 images of original, unsold artwork. The entry fee is $35 for 5 images, with an additional $5 per image up to a maximum of 20 images. All artwork must be original and unsold, with the artist owning sole copyright. 2D artwork selected for exhibition must be ready to hang with professional-quality frames, mats, and wiring in good condition. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance of artworks.

Entries are reviewed weekly with selections made throughout the month by location and curator. Exhibition lengths vary from 1 to 3 months depending on the artist's medium and work sizes. Featured artists are invited to attend receptions and may be invited for recorded artist interviews or panel discussions. Selected artists will be considered for representation by Dama Gallery, which includes priority consideration for exhibitions, professional consultation, portfolio assistance, marketing and promotional assistance, and online market inventory and website profile. The gallery maintains a 50% commission on sales. Sales remittance occurs 5-7 business days post-exhibition and/or upon buyer payment finalization.
