About This Call
Crooked Tree Arts Center in Traverse City, Michigan is seeking original works of art for the exhibition One, Together. The exhibition aims to explore collaboration, collectivity, and togetherness through creative practice. Artists are encouraged to consider the theme broadly and creatively, with possible approaches including artwork created collectively by more than one artist, artwork that encourages participation, artwork exploring concepts of togetherness or collaboration, or a creative practice that relies on assistance by or collaboration with multiple participants. All media are eligible for entry.
Artists working and residing in the United States, 18 years and older, are eligible for entry. Artists may submit up to three entries. Entry fee is $35.00 per artist (CTAC members $20.00, Guild Members free). Media fee is $10.00. Work samples must include a minimum of 3 and maximum of 6 total samples (images, audio, and/or video). Still images must be JPEG format, 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, and under 5 MB. Submissions must be original works created by the artist submitting the work and must not have been previously exhibited at Crooked Tree Arts Center.
The exhibition will be on display in Traverse City's Carnegie Galleries from September 28 - November 13, 2020. Entries must be submitted online between July 10 - August 17, 2020. Notification will be sent August 24, 2020. Work must be delivered to Crooked Tree Arts Center (Petoskey) between September 14 - 18, 2020, during posted gallery hours. Work must be picked up during gallery hours November 16 - 20, 2020, or by appointment. Works delivered with return shipping arrangements will be sent by December 4, 2020. The exhibition will also be viewable online at www.crookedtree.org. Accepted two-dimensional artwork must be framed and wired for hanging. Crooked Tree Arts Center galleries are sales galleries with a 40% commission on all sales; works do not have to be for sale.
