Once Upon a Time in the West Group Art Show

In honor of the National Western Stock Show, Memento Mori Gallery is highlighting western and western-adjacent themed art for the month of January. Western-adjacent means Cowboy & Native American themed art done in contemporary and new ways. The gallery also welcomes art with a nod toward the macabre.

Memento Mori Gallery is located in the 40West Arts District, part of the art walk circuit with good foot traffic on First Fridays. The First Friday reception on January 6, 2023 will include music, refreshments, and cowboy boots. Entry into the show includes free admission to the January edition of First Sunday Figure Drawing on January 8, 2023, featuring three rounds of timed sketches between 1-30 minutes.

Submit Cowboy and Native American themed art done in contemporary and new ways. Both 2D and 3D art are welcome. Artwork must be no larger than 6x6 feet, ready to hang or display, and must be for sale with 40% of sales going to the gallery. Entry fee is $20 per piece; up to 3 pieces may be submitted (separate entries required for each piece). All US residents are welcome. Out of state entries are welcome and must be shipped by the drop-off date of December 30, 2022; artwork will be returned after the show closes. Show dates: January 3-28, 2023.
