"Once Upon a Time" - Fables & Fairytales Group Exhibition

Echo Park Art invites artists to submit work for "Once Upon a Time," a group exhibition celebrating the boundless imagination of fantasies and fables. This opportunity is open to emerging and mid-career artists working with timeless tales, legendary heroes, mystical landscapes, and forgotten myths through visual storytelling. Work may explore ancient folklore, original mythologies, epic narratives, mystical creatures, or enchanted realms.

The exhibition runs June 1-30, 2025, with an artist reception on June 7th, 2025. Entry deadline is May 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. The $35 non-refundable entry fee applies regardless of selection. Artists may submit a maximum of 3 works. Accepted formats include 2D and 3D artwork in traditional and mixed media, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, textiles, and installation. Collage, 3D-printed works, AI-generated art, and computer graphics are not accepted.

All work must be for sale and reasonably priced. 2D work must be ready to hang with proper picture wire and d-rings; paintings on canvas do not require frames but edges must be clean; works on paper are generally framed. Three-dimensional work may require a white, clean pedestal provided by the artist. All work must be neatly and professionally presented and match the photograph submitted with the application.
