Once Upon A Time

Once Upon A Time is an exhibition call inviting visual artworks that embrace narrative themes. Whether relating to fiction, fantasy, short stories, poetry, prose, or other narrative forms—historical, contemporary, or futuristic—artists are encouraged to submit works that tell a unique story through visual disciplines (all mediums except video and installations are acceptable).

Core Art Space invites all artists residing in the United States to submit 2D and 3D works. Entries must be submitted electronically by June 14th, 2023, with a $35.00 entry fee for up to 3 works. Maximum artwork size is 60 inches on its longest side, including frame. Judging will be based on overall impact, content, composition, mastery of technique, creativity, and craftsmanship. Please list all media used in the description field for your entries.

The exhibition runs July 14th–July 30th, 2023, at Core Art Space (6501 W Colfax Ave, Lakewood, CO 80214). Accepted work must arrive by Friday, July 7th, 2023, with in-person drop-off available through Sunday, July 9th. Notification of acceptance will be sent by June 20th, 2023.
