On the Wing

Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the On the Wing exhibit at the Kavanagh Gallery of Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles, Illinois. Birds and their lives are the focus of this exhibit. 2D and 3D artwork in any media will be considered for entry. This is a national art show open to artists 18 years or older who reside in the United States. Work must have been completed in the last three years and must not have been previously shown at Fine Line. All pieces must be for sale.

Up to 3 pieces may be submitted per application, with one image per piece. Images must be of the actual work to be exhibited. Artwork must be original and not copied from other art or made from a kit. An artist statement limited to 1000 characters is required. The entry fee is $35.00. Jury decisions are based on creativity, quality of artistry, and originality. Notification of jury decisions will be sent via email on or before May 27, 2022.

The show runs June 30 – August 10, 2022, with an in-person opening reception on June 30 (6-8 pm). Delivery and check-in of work is June 25-28 (10 am – 5 pm by hand). Pick-up or shipping of work is August 12-13 (10 am – 5 pm). The gallery charges a 30% sales commission for artwork sold during the show. Fine Line handles all sales, sales tax, and provides artists with a check after the show ends. Artists may optionally put their work for sale on the Fine Line website during the show; Fine Line handles all taxes and shipping costs for online sales. $800 in prizes will be awarded. Fine Line provides 24/7 security and insurance coverage from receipt of work until the show's end (valued at 70% of sale price). Artists are responsible for shipping insurance to and from Fine Line and must include a return shipping label with shipped work.
