About This Call
Webster Arts invites art submissions on the theme "On the Street Where I Live." Artists are encouraged to think broadly about the theme. Work may represent ideas of community, sense of place, idealized or real, scenes from memory or future representations. All 2D & 3D media is welcome. No floor or ceiling hung installations are possible at this time. No video.
The exhibition will consist of two- and three-dimensional work in all media. Wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 48" X 48". Free-standing pieces may not exceed 32" X 32" X 60" or weigh more than 50 lbs. Submit up to three JPEG digital images (no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, 5 MB maximum file size). Entry fee is $30 for up to three entries. The exhibition is open to artists age 18 and older, residing in the US or abroad.
Juror Amanda Verbeck will select work for inclusion in the exhibit and for cash prizes. Artists may be selected for solo or 2-3 person shows in the future. Submission deadline is October 8, 2017. All artists will be notified by email on October 20. Artwork delivery is November 7-11 or must be shipped by November 10. The exhibition runs November 17 – December 23, 2017, with an opening reception on November 16 from 6-8 p.m. All artwork is insured for its declared value from receipt through January 6, 2018. Webster Arts receives a 30% commission on all exhibition sales.
