On the Rise: A Regional Call for Emerging Artists

Blue Line Arts is excited to announce On the Rise, a regional emerging artist exhibition featuring high-quality artwork by talented youth in the area. This call is a revival of an art show held annually for a number of years. As part of the organization's mission as a Roseville not-for-profit, this exhibition aims to offer enrichment to local creatives.

This exhibition will feature approximately 100 artworks that capture the essence of creativity and diverse perspectives of the next generation of artists. Artists are invited to submit artworks of any medium, including painting, sculpture, and digital art. The call is exclusively open to artists between 14 and 24 years old at the time of applying. All artwork must be original and completed within the last two years, cannot have been previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts, and must be for sale. Artwork must be able to enter through doors with a clearance of 94"h x 91"w, ceilings are 10 feet high, and nothing over 80 lbs will be accepted. The entry fee is $25. Entries are free to high school students located in Placer County and the connecting Sacramento, El Dorado, Yolo, Yuba, Sutter, and Nevada Counties. Varying levels of scholarships are available to cover the application fee for artists attending high school, community college, or a 4-year university who reside in qualified regions. Applications must be submitted by 5:00pm PST on October 11th, 2024. Results will be sent by 5pm PST on October 18th, 2024. The exhibition runs from November 23rd to December 28th, 2024. Shipping deadline for work is October 25th, 2024. Hand delivery is available November 18th and 19th, 2024 from 10am to 3pm. The opening reception is Saturday, December 21st from 5 to 8pm. Unsold work can be picked up December 29th and 30th, 2024 from 10am to 3pm. Artists under 18 must have their parent or legal guardian apply on their behalf. Blue Line Arts handles all sales transactions with a 50/50 commission for non-members or 60% commission for current Artist Members.
